Jishishan Earthquake Relief Project

In response to the earthquakes on December 18, 2023 in Gansu and Qinghai, CFRD initiated the Jishishan Earthquake Relief Project to provide assistance to the affected people, grassroots organizations, rural collective economic organizations, grassroots governments, schools, hospitals, etc., in order to reduce disaster losses in villages, promote resilient rural development, and help build livable villages.

In 2024, the Work Relief Program, Industrial Recovery and Development Program, Agricultural Machinery Socialized Service Program, Rural Industry Development Program, and Emergency Station Program were carried out, benefiting 162 villages. The Industrial Recovery and Development Program and the Agricultural Machinery Socialized Service Program carried out industrial support work in 13 cooperatives, serving a farmland area of 10,600 acres. The Industrial Recovery and Development Program cultivated 8 wealth creation leading figures and 10 skilled workers, and brought 146 people to work. The Agricultural Machinery Socialized Service Program brought 25 people to work in cooperatives, and the Rural Industry Development Program provided 18 long-term jobs and 78 short-term jobs for the project villages and 3 long-term jobs and 5 short-term jobs for surrounding villages.
