Quality Education

Internationally, we focus on the six UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, Clean Water and Sanitation, Decent Work and Economic Growth, upholding the international concept of "love without border, people-to-people connectivity", and adhering to the principles of "Respect for local people, Driven by local needs, Partnership and Sustainability". By the end of 2022, our international poverty reduction and development assistance projects had reached more than 1.95 million people in 28 countries and regions along "the Belt and Road ". We have registered country offices in Myanmar, Nepal and Ethiopia, and have long-term development assistance projects in more than 10 countries with a stable overseas team.

Solar Light Project

In response to the challenges faced by students in developing countries who often lack reliable lighting for evening study, the China Foundation for Rural Development launched the Solar Light Project. This initiative collects and distributes solar-powered lights to students in need, improving their ability to study after dark and supporting educational equity. By providing sustainable and clean energy solutions, the project not only enhances learning conditions but also conveys care and solidarity from the Chinese people, contributing to deeper people-to-people connections.

Panda Pack Project

On February 26, 2019, CFRD launched the Panda Pack Project jointly with Alibaba Philanthropy.

Computer Room Donation Initiative

The Computer Room project donated 40 computers to 1 university in Myanmar, benefiting 2,304 students; 50 computers were donated to 5 schools in Sudan, benefiting 1,473 students; 51 computers were donated to 8 disability centers and schools in Nepal, benefiting 1,223 students.

Nepal School Construction Donation Project

2017-2020, donated for the construction of Suning Yuba School, MAV School and Ananda Kuti School Compassion Building in Nepal.

Myanmar Paukphaw Scholarship Project

Launched in 2015, the Myanmar Paukphaw Scholarship Project provides financial assistance and support to full-time undergraduate students with financial difficulties and good academic performance.

International Bicycle Donation Project

In response to the prolonged commuting challenges faced by primary and middle school students in developing countries due to a lack of transportation, the China Foundation for Rural Development launched the International Bicycle Donation Project in 2021. By integrating social resources from multiple sectors, the project refurbishes and distributes idle shared bicycles to students in need. This initiative not only promotes resource reuse and reduces commute time, but also conveys care and support from the Chinese people, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and people-to-people connectivity between nations.
