In view of the lack of vegetation, land desertification, fragile ecology and low income levels in some areas in China, CFRD launched the Ecological Afforestation Program in 2018. The program carries out ecological restoration work in areas with afforestation needs by planting suitable tree species, gradually increasing the regional vegetation coverage; at the same time, it provides afforestation and tree planting opportunities for residents, including low-income populations, to diversify income sources, improve economic conditions, and promote ecological construction to support rural revitalisation.
