Living Water NPO Development Initiative Project

To address the challenges of underdeveloped grassroots social organisations and insufficient resource mobilisation capabilities, CFRD launched the Living Water NPO Development Initiative Program in 2020. The program supports the growth of local social organisations and enhances social resource integration through institutional capacity building, public welfare project funding, and the establishment of resource-sharing platforms. Its goal is to create a collaborative network that effectively serves the "last mile" of rural revitalisation.

To explore regional cooperation and a sustainable socialised development model, the program recruited regional partners, conducted capacity-building training for social organisations, facilitated research and advocacy on issues affecting rural children, and piloted community-driven fundraising initiatives.

Notably, with support from Qiming Venture Capital, the program selected rural social enterprise entrepreneurs from seven historically underdeveloped counties in Jiangxi and Hubei in 2024. By the end of the year, it had provided ongoing empowerment training to leaders of 18 county-level social organisations across eight provinces, including Yunnan, Hubei, and Jiangxi.
