To facilitate poverty elimination and prevent people from slipping back into poverty because of disasters, CFRD launched the Disaster Relief Program in 2003. We provide assistance to the affected population and disaster-stricken areas, help reduce disaster losses, increase community resilience, support the affected people in overcoming difficulties, and facilitate the rebuilding of homes and building of livable villages through disaster reduction and preparedness, emergency relief, transitional settlement, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.
