In view of the frequent disasters in China and the weak awareness and insufficient rescue capability of the public, CFRD launched the Disaster Prevention and Risk Reduction Program in 2014. Through the organization of activities, it advocates for the public to enhance their awareness of disaster reduction and prevention, and improve their self-rescue and assistance capabilities; through the storage of disaster relief materials, it improves the disaster response capability and development resilience of rural areas, and helps build livable villages through these efforts.
