Rural Education Development Project
In view of problems such as backward rural education concepts, incompetent teachers, and weak infrastructure, CFRD launched the Rural Education Development Program in 2017. It provides assistance for the construction of school infrastructure, enhances the capacity of rural teachers and students, and offers subsidies to rural educators and learners. The program supplies educational resource support to rural schools, teacher teams, students, and families, improves the rural educational environment, and promotes the continuous advancement of rural education. It also includes sub-programs such as the CSG Zhixing School Library Program, Teaching-research Competence Improvement Program, For Tomorrow's Children Program, and Rural Education Development Cooperation Program.
CSG Zhixing School Library Program
China Southern Power Grid Company Limited (CSG) and CFRD jointly launched the CSG Zhixing School Library Program. This initiative creates friendly reading environments, supplies high-quality books, provides reading training to empower rural teachers, and expands reading activities. It aims to stimulate students' interest in reading, enhance the reading abilities of both teachers and students, and comprehensively elevate the reading culture in rural schools.
Teaching-Research Competence Improvement Program
The Teaching-Research Competence Improvement Program utilises an educational information platform to enhance the teaching and research levels of county teachers through asynchronous and synchronous teaching and research, demonstration classes, tailored instruction, and mentorship from national master teachers who guide county backbone teachers in hands-on teaching and research.
For Tomorrow's Children Program
CFRD partnered with CapitaLand’s philanthropic arm, the CapitaLand Hope Foundation, to launch the “For Tomorrow's Children Program”, which focuses on the holistic development of children and adolescents.
