Empowering Children, Enlightening the Future Project

To promote the comprehensive quality development of rural children, CFRD launched the Empowering Children, Enlightening the Future Program in 2021. The program aims to enhance children's digital and aesthetic literacy and support their all-round development through digitized classrooms, creative building activities, and arts education.

Rural Children's Digital Classroom Project
In collaboration with Yum China and Leap Learner, CFRD carried out the Rural Children’s Digital Classroom Project to promote programming education in rural schools, improve digital literacy, and create well-rounded growth opportunities for rural children.

In 2024, the project provided basic building blocks training to 119 teachers from 88 schools across 5 counties (cities/districts) in 4 provinces, including Guizhou and Yunnan, enhancing the digital capabilities of rural educators. Additionally, 2,370 computer devices were donated to 89 schools in 7 counties (cities) across 5 provinces (Yunnan, Guizhou, Hebei, Henan, and Gansu), supporting programming courses and improving digital skills among rural children.

Lego Building Blocks Program
Partnering with the Lego Group, CFRD implemented the “Build Lego Bricks for Love” initiative, donating Lego sets to rural children to facilitate learning through play.

In 2024, the program distributed 214,000 boxes of Lego toys to 216,000 children across 20 counties (cities/districts) in 7 provincial-level regions, including Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Gansu, enabling them to experience the joy and educational benefits of creative building.

Gongmei Future Project
Launched in 2022 in cooperation with the Yiyang Qianxi Love Fund, the Gongmei Future Project trains local village personnel to serve as aesthetic teachers and deliver art education tailored to rural children. The project aims to elevate the level of aesthetic education in rural areas, bridge the urban-rural gap in arts development, and provide children with more opportunities for holistic growth.

In 2024, the project conducted 24 training sessions for rural aesthetic teachers and organized over 800 thematic activities, offering beneficiary children diverse ways to understand and express the world around them.
