In view of the lack of medical diagnostic and treatment equipment and the professional competence of grassroots doctors in underdeveloped areas in China, CFRD launched the Doctor Training Program in 2020. By providing facility and equipment support and empowerment training, the program improved the medical facilities and equipment conditions in underdeveloped areas, supported the competence development of rural doctors, improved the medical services at the county, town, and village levels in underdeveloped areas, popularised hygiene and health knowledge, and provided more solid health protection for rural people.
