One Yuan Donation

Initiated jointly in 2008 by CFRD and Yum China, the "One Yuan Donation" is a nationwide fundraising activity. In addition to donations from Yum China and its employees, the campaign is carried out across Yum China’s brand restaurants—including KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Little Sheep, Simmer Huang, and Lavazza. Restaurant staff introduce the initiative to customers, encouraging each person to donate one yuan to help improve the nutritional conditions of children in underdeveloped regions. Through these small acts of giving, the activity makes public welfare accessible to everyone and promotes the spirit that "Public Welfare is for All".

In 2024, the campaign was launched both offline at Yum China restaurants such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Little Fat Sheep Hot Pot, and online through brand apps and mini-programs of KFC and Pizza Hut for mobile ordering. It was also synchronized on major public fundraising platforms including Alipay Philanthropy, ByteDance Philanthropy, and Tencent Philanthropy. Various markets across the country organized a wide range of fundraising activities throughout the year.

The "One Yuan Donation" program in 2024 benefited 40,100 person-times across 10 counties (cities/districts) in 8 provincial-level regions, including Guizhou, Yunnan, and Jilin.
